The Morrisburg Lions Club welcomes you to our 2010 Web Site.

Throughout the years, the Lions Club has undertaken many community celebrations, including Winter Carnival, Applefest, and Old Home Week. Currently, the Club is responsible for Antiquefest and the annual Tubie Festival.

The purpose of this site is to provide you with information about what we are up to in 2010 and to show you what we have done in the past.

We are hoping that this will help you to decide to join us in the fun and help us support the community.

The Morrisburg area is celebrating its 150th birthday in 2010 (it was formally incorporated as Morrisburg Village in 1860).

To celebrate this event the village is partnering with the Lions Club to bring back the old “Old Home Week” Festival that was very successful from the late sixties through to the early eighties. This festival will run from Friday, July 23rd to Monday, August 2nd.

There are more than seventy events lined up, starting with the Dueling Pianos, Antiquefest, Park Street Market, Yuk Yuks Comedy and more on the first weekend and ending with Tubie Weekend including the Tubie Parade, Tubie Dance, a Duke Ellington Band / Forties Dance and a Birthday Celebration Fireworks Display.
