March, 2011                  Lions Come Together to Fulfill a Dream For Ingleside Man

 

Quarterbacked by the Morrisburg & District Lions Club, Finch & District, Chesterville & District and Cornwall-Seaway Lions Clubs came together to donate $2,000 towards a customized and motorized wheelchair for local resident, Karl Armstrong. Stricken with polio as a child, the activities Karl could enjoy had become severely restricted when his non motorized wheelchair became too much for him.

May, 2010                     Morrisburg Lions Complete Waterfront Beautification Projects

 

The installation of three more lights along the waterfront walkway east of the Morrisburg & District Lions Memorial Pavilion is now complete. The path around the Legion Cenotaph was completed a few months ago. These waterfront beautification projects are possible as a result of the community support for the Lions Docksyde Ice-Cream & Snack bar project.

October, 2010               Lions Contribute to the Dundas County Hospice

The five (5) Lions Clubs in Dundas comprised of  Chesterville & District, Winchester, Mountain Township & District, Iroquois - Matilada and Morrisburg & District have joined forces to support the Dundas County Hospice. This non-profit organization offers assistance to Dundas County residents diagnosed with a life threatening illness. Representatives from the five Clubs are pictured presenting Carol Froats,  Executive Director, Dundas County Hospice with a cheque for $5,000.
